Pros and cons of Cooking Basics app for iPhone and iPad

Cooking Basics app good for

As a beginner cook myself, having this handy on my iPad for tips, tricks and just direction in general is just perfect. Cant wait to start cooking and surprising my counterpart :)
I love this cook book but my daughter moved away to school and took it with her. I really missed it so just as I was about to fork out $40 to buy a new one I found this app for my ipad. Its everything the book is plus way more!!! Its more than just recipes. It teaches all the basic food preparations and cooking techniques you need to know to prepare all types of food. I love the class and tip videos throughout. The photos are beautifully done and not only show the final prepared dish but there are step-by-step photos also. You can make your grocery list and keep additional notes and photos. If you are new to cooking, it is a must-have but even veteran cooks will find it informative and useful. Definitely worth the $10!
I dont normally write app reviews, but if theres any more good I could do for the authors and creators of this app aside from buying it, it is through writing this. This app is one of the few out there that can actually teach you a new skill from scratch. The only recipe I knew before buying this was making coffee lol. This book/app gave me all the confidence I need to know my way around the kitchen and really includes, like the title states, the basics. I never thought that cooking would become a favourite pass time.
When something says basic in the title, believe me, its basic, if you already have a solid foundation and know some what how to cook then this app is basically obsolete.
Lots of useful information, clearly and concisely presented. The interface takes some getting used to, but its worth it.

Some bad moments

Every time I search anything on this program it crashes. Is unusable on my iPad 9.7 Pro. Used to work well on my old iPad 3rd gen. and I used to like it.
Eye-popping pictures, so many great recipes, and loaded with useful features. Love the built in timer. Also, an easy way to transmit that "pick up on the way home list" that I can actually read.
The Cooking Basics app has striking photos & graphics and is super easy to navigate. It is a great reference tool for delicious recipes and step by step techniques. My favorite features are the shopping list, notes and photos (Im always writing in my cookbooks and now I an add photos) and especially the timer built into the recipes. The classes are a bonus you dont get with the book. Great app. Highly recommended. Beaut
This is perfect for anyone who loves to cook or wants to learn. This is so organized and can be used in a way that a book never could. Feels like a class, convenient shopping experience (with shopping lists to create or delete by recipe), and an incredible visual and taste experience all in one. Great purchase!
I have the latest 128GB iPad and this app is refusing to work. It automatically exits. I have removed and reinstalled it several times and it still refuses to work. Kindly fix this bug immediately.
This is a wonderful app. This has has something for everyone. These a ton of knowledge packed in here. I wish I had this when I was just learning to cook!
